As Chief Executive Officer, Ali Abou Daya brings more than 16 years of business and engineering to Transactix, a payments infrastructure company based in Calgary that is spearheading the transformation of the movement of value. Ali has been involved in blockchain development since 2016, digital currency mining since 2011 and software programming since 2003. His work focuses on striking the right balance between innovation and maintaining the regulatory, security, and consumer protection concerns that come with it.
He has recently presented at the Canada House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry and Technology pertaining to these concerns and the cost of money transfers.
Prior to Transactix, Ali was COO of Gearlay, a Canadian technology developer focused on financial ledger systems, asset tokenization, and software for optimal processing of large volumes of transactions. The company's unique and proven solutions along with its partner network have processed more than US $100 billion in transactions to date.
Ali holds a degree and certification in business and computer and communications engineering from Cornell University and the American University in Beirut.
