Andrei Poliakov is the CEO and Founder of APX Lending (www.apxlending.com), a Bitcoin and Ethereum-backed lending platform. In April 2025, APX Lending received groundbreaking exemptive relief from the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) - the first of its kind for a crypto-backed lending company in Canada - setting a new standard for compliance, security, and accessibility in the digital asset lending space.
Prior to APX Lending, Andrei co-founded Coinberry, one of Canada’s largest crypto exchanges at the time. Under his leadership, Coinberry became the first crypto start-up to register with the CSA, and was acquired by WonderFi Technologies (TSX: WNDR) in 2022.
Andrei helps others understand trends, gain technical insights, and overcome common misunderstandings about the digital asset industry. He believes in pushing the boundaries of the status quo and is passionate about fueling digital asset adoption through education. Andrei has been a featured speaker at numerous events, including multiple appearances at Toronto’s Blockchain Futurist Conference.
