Andrew Smith joined Virtu in 2009 and functions in various roles daily, including Global Business Development, Market Structure and Corporate Strategy, to help grow and scale Virtu's global electronic market making and execution services businesses. His responsibilities include, among other matters, analyzing the market structures of the global Equities/ETF, Futures, Crypto and OTC markets; developing and distributing Virtu's liquidity offerings; expanding relationships with regulators, banks, brokers, exchanges, and clearinghouses; evaluating technologies; and navigating potential benefits and challenges of new regulation; Mr. Smith is also a member of Virtu's management committee and looks after communications and investor relations for the firm.
