Annemarie Tierney

Annemarie Tierney is the Founder and Principal of Liquid Advisors, Inc., a consulting firm offering strategic advisory services to a range of clients, including Ta crypto trade organization, ETP issuers, token projects, broker dealers and private hedge and investment funds in the traditional and digital asset industries.  Annemarie also serves as an expert witness on a range of securities law issues.  

Previously, Annemarie was a Vice President in a strategy role at Nasdaq supporting alternative investment trading and serving as a member of Nasdaq's Blockchain Innovation Team.  She was also the General Counsel of SecondMarket Holdings, Inc. (now Digital Currency Group), where she led the efforts to structure, launch and obtain OTC QX approval to publicly trade the Grayscale Bitcoin Investment Trust (GBTC), and to trade bitcoin through SecondMarket’s broker dealer (now Genesis Global Trading).  Annemarie has also worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom (London and New York), the NYSE and NYFIX.  

She earned her BA/BS in Finance and International Relations from the University of Delaware and her JD from the Catholic University of America.  Annemarie is also FINRA series 7, 63 and 24 licensed.
