Dr Leemon is the inventor of the hashgraph distributed consensus algorithm and Co-Founder of Hedera. With over 20 years of technology and startup experience, Leemon has helped Hedera become the most used, sustainable, enterprise-grade public ledger for the decentralized economy. The Hedera network is governed by a council of the world's leading organizations spanning multiple geographies and sectors.

From 2018-2022, Leemon held the role of CTO at Hedera. In January 2022, the company enacted a crucial part of its pathway to decentralization by dissolving C-suite roles and beginning to transition the code to open-source. From then, Leemon held the role of CEO of Swirlds Inc (now called Hashgraph), leading the project in developing innovative solutions and products built on Hedera, including the development of Shared Worlds.
