Prior to joining the DFS, Ken was the Director and Head of Innovation and Technology Risk Supervision at the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) where he oversaw the regulatory sandbox program and the supervision of technology-enabled financial services providers such as payments providers, crowdfunding platforms, automated wealth management, Virtual Asset Service Providers, and DLT-based product offerings; and the cyber risk supervision program.
Prior to joining the DFSA, Ken managed a team of market conduct investigators at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), prior to which Ken was an open-outcry and electronic equity options market maker on the trading floor of the CBOE.
Ken holds a BSBA in finance and qualifications in international compliance, financial crime, and Islamic finance. He was a member of the Board of the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) and a member of the DIFC Cyber Forward Program Steering Committee, the former IOSCO FinTech Network, and various international regulatory working groups.
