Trent's current work is on crowd-sourced time-series prediction (Ocean Predictoor) and brain-computer interfaces (bci/acc).
He started doing AI research at the Canadian Department of Defense in 1997. Then, he worked on creative AI in his first startup (ADA, acquired by Synopsys), and his PhD (KU Leuven). Then he worked on AI to drive Moore's Law (Solido, acquired by Siemens). Solido is now broadly used for modern chip design, from Apple to Nvidia to TSMC. In 2013, he began work on NFTs on Bitcoin (ascribe); then decentralized AI in 2017 (Ocean).
Trent has written seminal essays on Token Engineering, decentralized autonomous AI, civilization mapping, and more. He wrote two textbooks, and 40+ papers and patents. He's given invited talks at the UN, NASA, Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, JPL, SFI, and more. He lives in Berlin, Germany. More info: www.trent.st.
