The Federation of Black Canadians (FBC) is a national nonprofit dedicated to advancing the social, economic, political, and cultural empowerment of Black communities across Canada. Our mission is to dismantle systemic barriers, drive economic inclusion, and create sustainable opportunities for Black Canadians by focusing on four key pillars:
Lifelong Learning – Providing Black youth and professionals with mentorship, education,
and career development opportunities.
Healthcare Equity – Addressing disparities in Black health outcomes through research,
advocacy, and culturally informed programming.
Entrepreneurship & Employment Development – Creating pathways for Black Canadians to
access business resources, workforce training, and financial independence.
Criminal Justice Reform – Advocating for policies that promote racial equity in Canada’s
legal and policing systems.
Guided by the principle “Stronger Together – Nothing About Us Without Us,” FBC is deeply committed to ensuring that Black voices lead and shape the future of our communities. Since our inception in 2017, we have built a strong national network of staff, board members, volunteers, and partners, launching high-impact programs that foster long-term success.
