Fintechs Canada is a not-for-profit industry association that serves as the collective voice for fintechs in Canada, driving meaningful change on key policy issues like open banking, payments modernization, and financial sector competition through advocacy, research and cross-sector collaboration. They are on a mission to open markets for financial technology companies in Canada by breaking down barriers to competition and innovation, because a thriving fintech sector means greater choice and brighter financial futures for Canadians. Since its founding, Fintechs Canada has been pivotal in securing government commitments to open banking, access to payments infrastructure, and financial sector competition. They were a driving force behind the inclusion of open banking in the Fall 2024 economic statement, securing nearly all of the association's key recommendations through direct advocacy with policymakers and effective engagement of the public through their Choose More campaign, mobilizing Canadians to connect with their MPs to advocate for financial sector reform more than 15,000 times.
